ABOUT US

Gemma is a lifelong whitewater kayaker with over 25 years of experience on rivers around the world. She grew up in the Catalan Pyrenees and has been involved in whitewater kayaking since the age of 12, competing as a junior in Spanish slalom and freestyle leagues. In 2009, she represented Spain at the Freestyle World Championships in Thun, Switzerland.
Her passion has naturally evolved toward river descent, exploring whitewater across every continent, including Chile and the Argentine Patagonia, the White Nile in Uganda, Nepal, the French and Austrian Alps, Ecuador, and currently in Canada, where she continues to develop as a whitewater kayaker. Previously, she coached children in kayaking at a local club and now works as an elementary school teacher, combining her teaching skills with a lifelong love of the sport.

Jacob has been an avid participant in the paddling community since the age of 2016, becoming more involved with slalom during the pandemic. He has competed for several years at a provincial and national level, but has since stepped back from competing to focus on coaching.
Outside of his paddling career, Jacob is a hobbyist photographer, cosplayer, and currently working on his bachelor of education, with the goal of being an elementary school teacher.
